As a New Year dawns across our planet a sick Europe still looks to the future hopefully as if observing some kind of desert mirage, 2008 crippled the world economy and since then we have been assured that times will change. The government don’t spend anymore, austerity is rising at a rapid rate and the ordinary people are losing out. Big businesses survive – they always do, the government can protect them as in turn they support the economy. The sad truth is times will continue like this for a long while yet, unless we - the people change it ourselves. Too long have we sat back and let the privatisation of the economy fail and drag down our welfare and quality of life with it. The point is our governments have - and will continue to let this happen because of the security this system brings to them.
It also saddens me that because of the failures the capitalist system is having on the world economy people are beginning to again blame immigration on this issue. There is a sick circle in which the world works, because of a threat to private interests across the sea Western countries support dictators in the East who although are corrupt and terrorise the populace they support western interests and private property. This is why the Western powers support these governments - so they can protect their own interests from so called anarchy, this is how the case was in places like Syria a few years ago. As a consequence of the fighting the population is displaced many refugees fleeing to Europe so they can escape from the conflict and turmoil.
Far right groups are blaming these immigrants on the economic problems and common people are starting to follow suit. We can see this in the rise of the United Kingdom Independence Party and the anti "islamification" groups that are quickly taking a hold Germany and other European countries.
It is not the immigrants who are causing the world economy and especially that of the "Euro Zone" to falter and fail; it’s a failure of the system itself.
The system has failed - this has been shown especially in the economic destruction of 2008. Governments won't do anything because the system gives them an easy existence so we - the people must do something, a Revolution is inevitable, across the world the masses have had enough something has to change, be that in a few years or a decade but comrades soon the world will look to the light of peace once more.
